China Day 1

We are in Beijing! Actually, we have been here a few hours and slept for a few hours! I planned to let everyone know right when I got access to WiFi but as soon as we got to the hotel I took an Ambien.  I brushed my teeth and washed my face and then realized I was seeing double! It was seriously crazy! I tried to organize a few things before I really realized what was going on so I finally just got in the bed. After that I don't remember a thing!

The flights were so smooth. The kids were great little travelers and helpers. I slept about 2 hours, the boys slept between 3-5 and I had to wake YouYou up after her 6 hour stretch bc I was afraid she would never be able to fall back asleep last night at the hotel. 

So it is 4 or 5:15 Friday  morning here. I will be getting up in just a few minutes to get ready for our big day in Beijing! Our sweet guide Angela will be meeting us in the lobby at 8:30. We are hoping this long day of touring will help us get acclimated to the time zone. 

Will post pictures tonight! Good to know that needs to happen BEFORE the Ambien.
