Yuan Yuan,
Today was your birthday! Today we tried to celebrate you, even though it hurt so bad.
Your brothers and sisters made you a bear. Each of us put a heart in the bear for you and we put your little brother (Didi) shirt on him. We all wanted to hug and hold the bear. It made us feel closer to you.
Through tears we sang "Happy Birthday" to you and we released some balloons. There is something comforting about watching balloons travel towards the clouds.
We talked about you, and shared some of our favorite things. Like the "YuanYuan" shake, the way you would cut your eyes at us and raise your eyebrows, your laugh, how you would bite the spoon when you were done eating, all of these things are good to remember. We also talked about the things we thought we would get to do with you...and then how God's plans are better than our plans, even when it hurts.
We love you sweet boy. You have changed us all. We will never be the same.
