A Mei Mei for YouYou

It's time I started a blog for this second adoption. My track record in updating my blogs is not so good, but since this is the easiest way to keep lots of people informed I will do my best.

Mei Mei means little sister in Chinese...hence the title for this new blog. YouYou has wanted a sister since the very first time I read her Mary Beth Chapman's book, "Shaoey and Dot", which is a children's story of the Chapman's first adoption. We had only been home a few months when this first happened, so we definitely weren't ready to start the process yet. We needed time to grow our attachment, recover from surgery, improve her sleeping patterns, etc. But the questions about when we might "get a baby sister" continued and our hearts began to be burdened again for the many children left behind.

So here we are...

We have enough room in our house. We have enough love in our hearts. We have lots of friends and family supporting us, and ready to open their hearts to another Hammond child. So why wouldn't we?
