We got a measurement update on little YuanYuan/John Thomas. The orphanage say he weighs 22 pounds and is 32 inches. This may or may not be accurate, but it at least gives us an idea of what size clothes and diapers to take with us. YouYou was 2.5 years old when we got her and she only weighed 18 pounds. He will be about 22 months when we get him, so approximately 8 months younger than her, but maybe a little heavier! We will see! It is exciting to even get this little piece of information about him.
Hopefully, we will get an update on YunYun/Julia very soon. I really want to know whether or not she has been told about us? It is so hard to think about how this is going to disrupt her life. She doesn't understand the permanency of a family, and the fact that a foster family is not permanent. So she will likely just be mad that we are taking her away from everything familiar to her. Please pray for her little heart.

ReplyDeletePraying for both the sweet babies! I believe that Julia will warm up to all of you very quickly. Remember how much fun Clara had with the boys on her first day with you? I still love that sweet video of her laughing. Besides, I have the best sister in the world. I am sure that both of the little ones will know how special you are and feel the absolute LOVE from the entire family! I love you!
