Praises and Prayers

Our gracious God continues to provide all of our needs. We are so excited to be the recipients of a $2000 grant from Bridge of Hope in Athens, Alabama! I have said this over and over again...but God is providing for this adoption in ways we never even imagined. What an amazing journey this has been so far...and the best part is still ahead of us! In just a few weeks (aprox. 8-10) we will be adding two precious children to our family. There will be two more little ones to hug, two more little ones to smother with kisses, and two more little ones to tell about Jesus. I CANNOT WAIT!!! Well, let me restate that. I will wait, because if you look up the word ADOPTION in a thesaurus, I'm pretty certain you will see the word WAIT :)

Another exciting thing going on this week is our online auction! Wow, wow, and wow! In just a matter of a few weeks this whole thing came together, with 75 items to bid on, donated by more than 30 people! The auction ends tomorrow night (Saturday, March 23) at 8:00 pm CST. Here is the link again if you are interested in seeing what is up for bid...http://anauctionfortwo.blogspot.com.

We have requested an update on our little guy and we are praying we will hear something soon. It is very hard to be patient with paperwork when we know our son is struggling to breathe and desperately needs surgery. There are days when I have complete peace, but I will admit, there are days when my mind wanders and I imagine all of the worst case scenarios. Will you pray specifically, that the orphanage will take YuanYuan/John Thomas to the hospital or a doctor so that they can measure his oxygen levels? We need to know whether or not to take oxygen with us for the plane ride home. The orphanage staff has said he will need oxygen, but we don't know if that is because a doctor has said that or if it is just because he is so blue. Getting oxygen for a child that is not already on your insurance is very difficult. We will do whatever we have to do, but a simple measure of his o2 stats would give us the information we need to make an informed decision.

As for our little girl...YunYun/Julia should have received a care package from us a few weeks ago. We are hoping the staff actually gave it to her so that she knows she has a family. We are praying that her little heart will be prepared to join our family, and that we will know exactly what to do to make her feel safe and loved.

Thank you for your prayers and your continuous support and encouragement!
